wiring color code

I'm putting my 87 turbo coupe dash back together. There's a black wire with purple in the steering column that's hanging loose with a rather odd looking plastic connector on the end. I don't remember disconnecting it and can't figure out where it goes. I've been unable to find BL/Purple in a wiring diagram. Any body know what the wire is and where it connects? Pic of the connector attached (I hope). thnx for any help, Jim
