Turn signals?Tail lights

We are so excited.. Looking at a 66 very pretty girl. BUT turn signals are currently not working. Should they be the sequential ones when in operation or just the reg. blink-blink? Can you tell we are rookies?

They are indeed sequential on the 66. Many factors involved to make them work.

Starting in 1965, the turn signals were sequential. You need a shop manual for your mechanic, if not for yourself. If you choose to fix it yourself, I'm sure I can give you some good pointers. Harley

Thank you Joe and Fordman for the info on the turn signals. Looks like the 66 is indeed going to be ours. Look for many more ?? to come from us here in Calif.

I remember in my early teens,seeing those birds signal lights working after dark-thinking it was about the coolest thing on the road.I think some Cougars -maybe Comets?-the Caliente? did it too.Many vendors sell an electronicunit to replace the trouble-prone mechanical sequencer your car has if original.good luck-bj
