stalls at highway speeds

Took my 57 bird out last week and it was running fine. Turned onto the interstate and as soon as I hit 6o plus mph. it stalled out.. Acts as if it is running out of gas. When I reduce speed the engine comes back to life. My question is, what is the best way to check the fuel pump?

Best way is probably to use a fuel pressure gauge..

Checked with a mechanic friend of mine and was told to go with the simple stuff first. I replaced the fuel filter and she runs like new.
