Hey guys! I was thinking, a set of slotted mags(like on the Starsky and Hutch Torino) would look real mean on my '79. Is there a company that still makes them? I would love to find a set, but was told that they are no longer being produced. Please tell me anything that you can! Thanks.

Also...how wide can I go with tires and wheels, in the front and back? I can see 255's in front, and 285's out back, without many clearance issues, but wanted to ask the experts! Thanks.

well jim,
all I can say is best of luck. it is impossible to find 4 matching wheels, i've been looking since i was 14 and i'm 21 now. I found one set for my pickup, but never a set for any of my cars. Your best bet is to go to swap meets and look for pairs, get one pair for the fronts and one pair for the rear. once again, best of luck.

hey jim,
i have a 79 with slotted mags on it and they look good. i have 15x7 on front and 15x8.5 in the back. i have 215/6R15 on front and 255/60R15 on back and all i had to do was add air shocks. i didnt want to go to wild on width as it is my every day school driver. I have herd that american racing is now reproducing these wheels as the ansen sprints. I just did the swap meet searches and after a year i found a matching set. if you need any thing else just drop me a line.

aluminum slots.

You can try this company called US Mags. They call them a Indy style wheel. I'm thinking about getting a set for my 77. They run about $170 a piece.
