I should have also added that before you throw the old one away, its fairly easy to open up (very straight forward) and clean and lube up the contacts inside with dielectric (spelled correctly?) grease. As I recall mine was pretty far gone full of rust and goop. Using a spray electrical contact cleaner and lots of dielectric grease to keep things from rusting up again I was able to resurrect it. I was sure to line it up in the same location when reattaching it to the car to ensure that it would allow engagement of the starter. Its been working like a charm for the last 6 years. I believe that the extra wiring on the switch fire up the back up lights, if your car is so equipped. Good Luck!
