I was wondering first what size is the rear end in my 64? (9"?)

Also, I was wondering which rear ends I would be able to swap in, to get about... 3 or 4 inches more clearance, I'm looking to fit some reverse offset rims in, with fender skirts.

I'm thinking something like a Comet or Falcon rear end might work? I don't know a lot about rear ends at all though, so I really have no idea.

The only thing I really know is that my rear end is 3.00-1, has 30 drive gear teeth and 10 pinion.

Would I want to transfer the guts of mine to a new rear end? or would I want to find a rear end with different gears?

Any help or information would be appreciated.

I don't think you are going to find anything that will bolt right in. You could have your axle narrowed or find a junkyard axle the width you want and weld on new spring perches. Currie also builds custom ford 9" axles. At that time upgrade to disk brakes.

I was looking at having it narrowed, and was hoping there would be something similar that was the correct width, where I would just need to weld the spring perches onto... probably no such luck though? :p
