Does anyone live in the Sacramento area (California)? Im just looking for someone with another tbird to meet up with and swap experience and knowledge with to get the cars running smooth!
I've got a T-Bird and certainly have had my share of experiences with it, but I'm 3,000 miles away, in Sarasota, Florida.
If nobody answers here, get to some area car shows. Best way in the world to meet other Bird owners in your area. I'll bet there are plenty, that just don't belong to this or any other forum.
Thanks Gary. One of my friends noticed a 64 sitting in his apatment parking lot. Im going to try to meet up.with the.owner and see how that goes. Thank you again.
How did you look up where people are from? I tried to find a link or a search by location but no luck. Thanks for the referance. Is Art active on this forum? I as because I viewed his page and didnt see that he has made any posts. Thank you again!
Personally I wish more people would give their locations -- many don't. I suspect in this case, Harley may have sold this fellow some parts -- or known about him from the Cybernest or other forum.
Well I am close, my name is Keith, I live in Santa Rosa. I have a 66 HT that I am slowly modifing:coolg VTCI is also a great forum along with the Ford FE engine forum. This was the last vid I posted on my Bird. It now has the FPA Headers, next month I'll be swapping the 3.0 rear with a 3.70. Then hopefully in April/May a top end build, cam, edel heads, performer rpm manifold etc. YouTube - 66 Thunderbird with Flowmaster 40 series
Personally I'm curious as to how many T-Bird owners in FLORIDA are on this list.
I frequent the car cruises in Sarasota, Bradenton, and Venice. There is one other, a 62 convertible, that frequents the Venice shows. Several others I see once in a blue moon, but compared to Mustangs and Chevelles there doesn't seem to be many around -- at least at the shows.
When I started my 66 project I searched the internet for the locale T-Bird club and then sent the President of the club an E-mail to find someone to compair birds with. The only person that he could recomend was a guy in San Jose. The club is mostly older then ours birds. I'm always wanting to look at other Birds to compair with. Your welcome to come by.
I grew up in san jose and my high school used the tbird club your talking about every year for home coming when i was there. I just bought my car about two months ago in san jose and drove it up here. I must say it was good untill concord and then i drove over the benicia bridge and had tranny fluid burning on my exhaust. dont think Im gonna be able to make it down, or atleast in the thunderbird. I have a 66 as well and i have famiily down in san jose still. maybe next time im in town we can meet up? I really need help with figuring out how to put my trunk lock housing in and connecting it all together!
The tranny is intermitent and rarely leaks. I drive my car everydayto and from work and school.
Took me a while to figure out how the trunk lock went back together also. The books don't show it very well then add the vacuum opener. I'll thy and get a few photos of it this weekend and post them for you or shoot me an e-mail and I'll send them to you.
I'll still post them. maybe they will help someone else.
