:cheersHi all, im new here. i just got my first tbird last friday, a 62 hardtop. im trying to find an interchange, i need a driver side strut tower brace and i cant find one anywhere. im sure ford used the same one on several cars but i dont know the specifics. this is not my first ford as i used to play with fox bodies but i wanted something older so here i am. any help would be greatly appriceated.

You can look in Ford's master Parts Book - known as the "Blue Bible" - and find the part number of the strut. When you have done that, you can see what Ford vehicles it was used on. I'll bet it was used on 1961, 1962 and 1963 Thunderbirds. I expect you will need to contact Thunderbird parts venders or John Draxler for a good used part.

Like Harley stated your best bet is to contact a thunderbird resto place. You could call them simply stating your year and model and they would know right off the bat. Depending on where you live there are lots to choose from. Birds Nest in Org. or Larrys T-Bird/Mustang Parts in Concorde CA. to name a couple. Both companies will mail out free parts catalogs as well.

interchange

i already have a few catalogs. my main curiosity is regarding fords use of the same bracket on different cars or if its an exclusive tbird part.

There is a guy on ebay now with alot of 62 tbird parts. He must be parting one out, try him

full of it?

i also posted my question on yahooanswers. a guy claims the bullet bird was built on the same platform as the falcon. i just dont see it. any input?
