Heater wont work

The fan will not turn on when the switch is put to a speed any ideas?

I got it a good blow with a hammer got it blowing.

mine did the same thing. the switch is burnt it wont last.

yeah the motor the car had sat for many years.

on my wifes 79 camaro we had the same problem i jumped the pos over to the neg, like you would on a starter that is stuck

I'm supposing you have checked the circuit breaker.. Next check the resister 'cause it's so easy to get to. Then check to see if you have power to the blower motor (that's under the hood). The blower switch is in the ground circuit. Let us know what you find.
