Anybody know how to rebuild a 57 Bird 312 ci mechanical fuel pump. I replaced the original one with a aftermarket pump and they are terrible. I still have the original and would lik to rebuild it. Where could I get a worthy fuel pump kit?

I deal with the company that makes all the new ethanol gas compatible Fuel Pump Kits.....
Always best to simply call me --- 516 - 485 - 193five..... Craig.....

The ethanol gas pumps are great. Just remember that your valve seats do not particularly like ethanol gas. Yes, if you are not driving a lot the valve seat damage should be minimal.

I use only premium no-ethanol fuel in my bird. I had redone all the lifters, valves, seats and pushrods to accommodate my fuel. The problem seems to be that todays aftermarket fuel pumps are made poorly. I would like to purchase a kit so I could rebuild my original. A kit of quality.

I just rebuilt the fuel pump on my 56 it seems to be working great fuel leak is gone seems to have plenty of pressure I'm going to have to dig out my receipt I can't recall who I bought it through but I will follow up with a post with the phone number
