Just put a set of 66 spinners on. The right front comes off on a regular basis. The prongs on the cap look fine. Could it be a rim issue?

Are you riding on modern radial tires, or original-style bias ply tires? Radial tires twist and flex the steel wheels much more than the rigid bias-ply tires that were standard issue in the 60's. As a result, radials tend to throw hubcaps. Maybe someone who's welded small "tabs" onto the outer edge (or rim) of their wheels can reply with some "how-to" instructions. Have heard of other Tbird owners who've solved this problem by rigging up such "tabs". Good luck.

Thanks, I did switch to Radials. Maybe the flexing plus the weight of the spinners is the problem. My 56 chevy came from the factory with the tabs. So i guess i'll try that.

why am i having the problem with one wheel? Could i have one rim that is flexing more then the others?
