door ajar light

Hi everybody! Just purchased a 80,000 '97 t bird w/ what looks like a 2 cam 4.6( from looking @front of valve covers). I'm brand new to this forum and look forward to talking to you t bird lovers! Anyhow, I have a "door ajar" light that won't go out. I double checked the doors and trunk and there closed tight. Is this something I cam fix? Thanks for taking the time to read this thread! WD-40 the door latch...squirt a good amount in there, open and shut the doors a bunch of times...that often will loosen up the switch in there it may take a while to sink in and work.. Some people like to squirt some silicone spray in there too, after the WD-40.

I got a 97 V8 too. Mine had the same problem when I got it too. Just take it to your local dealer. it saves you having to screw with hard to find wires and it only cost me like $20.
