When I bought my 79 a couple of months ago the clock wasn't working. I bought a NOS on line and it doesn't work. I tested the line for the bulbs and have power going to them, but I don't seem to have power going to the clock. Any Ideas? How do I check the clock out of the car to see if it works? Also, any ideas why I wouldn't have power to the clock? Any Ideas on how to run power to the clock

Thanks

Clock

To determine whether or not your NOS clock works, using two wires, connect the positive side of the battery to one of the clock terminals and the negative side to the other clock terminal. Make sure you have a good connection in each case. If clock functions, it will start running.

But NOS clocks that have sat for years will often fail and need to be rebuilt or cleaned.

Let me know what happens when you test it out.

Thanks it worked and then I realized I must have blown the fuse removing the old clock how I don't know and know us all well

Yes thanks now trying to get the air to work. Ices up under the hood not cooling inside

Ac

The POA valve--tubular shaped part by the passenger side hood spring- may be clogged up if it is icing up on you. Sounds like a task for an AC guy. I leave the AC business to the professionals here in Florida. You can purchase the POA valve on e-bay or at Classic Air in Tampa if your local guy can't find one. Keep me informed as to how you do.

Thanks I have ordered one from Macs ford parts. You confirmed what I was told was wrong. I wasn't sure the local guy was right now I feel better.

Air Conditioning

Hope the new part will achieve what you want: coolness in the Bird!!!
