I Would Just Buy The New Unit That Plugs Right In And No Motor To Go Bad Again. I Got Mine From Southwest Ford In Texas About 20 Years Ago And It Still Works Great

To anyone looking to replace their units; listen!
They make FAR superior, universal, fully electric flashers that can do this these days. They're super cheap on ebay too and they work; flash, even nicer; smoother than the factory foolish thing. Rip that out and update it. You'll need to re-wire.

Here's how you do it:

Those 4 relays are the basic 30 or 40 amp relays you can buy anywhere. Just search ebay for:
3 step sequential turn signal flasher
(I used:
iJDMTOY Universal 3-Step Sequential Dynamic Chase Flash Module Boxes Compatible with Car Front or Rear Turn Signal Light Retrofit Use
- found on amazon)
- As you can see, you'll need two. The kit I used comes with two. Yes, they are cheap..........but they work FAR better than the factory crap box. They're low cost, not because they're junk, but because they cost nothing to make today. They had to do what they had to do 50 years ago. Today, electronics are far superior of course. This is a major upgrade and it cost next to nothing. They flash across far smoother and much more modern and cleaner too. You'll love it over the expensive factory electric/mechanical thing.
