This is the next project for me. I have researched this pretty well and have confidence going in. Any suggestions on where to get the whole kit with all of the replacement hardware for the leaf springs? Also, while searching around I see some things called anti-squeak pads for the springs but not much info on how these are installed.

rear Suspension

Ive got a 66 convert that sits too low in the rear. New leaf springs for me? How about air shocks to bring it up?

I ended up taking my car to a local garage as there is a lot more under car work that needed to get done. Lower ball joints, rear axle seal and bearings, rear wheel cylinders, trans mount,....I should be able to let you know in a few days where the springs were purchased as the owner of the garage will share that with me. Full kit with all the hardware purchased. It is important to know the build date on the 65 to insure proper hardware.

Owner of the shop got the rear leaf springs through Birds Nest in Oregon. I stopped in today and the springs are on, still finishing up some other things though. He is an old car guy also and has about 6 cars, including a 57 dual quad bird. His comment was this is a tough job with lift and power tools.

Thanks for the update, mind if I ask how much you paid for parts and labor?
Ill be doing mine soon, gotta start saving for the repair....
