65 convertible top

Just tried to operate for the first time. Pushed the button to operate top and got zero response. Trunk wouldn't even try to open. Any suggestions?

Simple things first. Do you have power to the switch? (Starting point for any electrical problem). If you do, see Harley's comment :agree
