57 Steering questions

:bangheadHi everyone! I have a 57 and wife wants easier steering. Was seriously considering aftermarket power, but then someone told me I should consider rack and pinion. Then someone else said there would be a clearance problem. I really am confused and would appreciate any solid, experienced tbird help. By the way, it is a 312 w/automatic. Power or R&P? Thanks in advance.

Hill's Thunderbird Center has a special order power steering system that is a direct bolt on to any small TBird. There is a modification that has to be made to the steering column, though. Contact them at 866-949-1956 and ask for the Power Steering Kit info.
