Hello from new members Larry and Lynn Slevin. We just purchased a 1966 2 door Coupe down here in Florida. The car is mostly original in the engine compartment and interior. One repaint 20 years ago. The car is nice shape and has just enough patina to make it interesting.

Our issue is we both plan to drive the car. I am 6-1 wife is 5-2, so without a power seat a lot of adjustment is needed. I do not want to mess with this car much but would like to understand the challenge and parts needed to conver drivers seat to power. Can non power seat be adapted with new frame? etc.

Thanks for reading and we look forward to sharing with all of you on this site.

Power Seat

You have to get a 66 power seat base. Your seat will bolt right to that base. A 64 65 power seat base will also work but they are 4 way and 66 is 6 way.

Power seats

lslevin,

Did you find the seat bases you were looking for? I have complete seats for '66 Landau. They are "Parchment" color. Shipping may be prohibitive $$ to Florida.

Sorry to take so long to respond...been away from the computer. Anyway, we have sourced a power seat and installed it. Works great!!! Been enjoying the car and yes, the wife does drive it. In fact she will tell you it is her car...except for fixing the problems. Ha!!! Have a great holiday season. Larry and Lynn Slevin
