    You converted 6 volts to 12 volts????? All 1961/63 Thunderbirds came from the factory with 12 volt systems. How did you get 6 volts?

    Lift the pan up in the reverse order that you took it down. Was the cross member in the way when you took it down? The manual is telling you the correct way to do it..

    I'm pretty sure that fender skirts were standard equipment in 1965. As someone else noted, you may find them on Ebay from time to time.

    It looks to me like the top has been modified. In your picture, it looks like part of the top is black and part red. Is there a seam or some trim piece between the black and red? The four inch stainless piece does not look original Ford.

    No need to pull the dash apart... Remove the bezel and three screws to remove speedometer from instrument panel.

    stuck windows

    I would suspect the end play in the armature shaft is too much. Years ago, I had this problem and installed a electrical cut off switch to stop the action before the window got to the very top. I think you are slamming the window up and that causes it to jam.
