The left rear frost plug on my 66 390 is leaking. Has anyone changed it without removing the engine? If so how, or will it be necessary to pull the engine ?
Thanks for any help.

It is not necessary to remove the engine. There are tools you can buy to install engine core plugs. Have you looked under the car to see if you can drive it in without special tools? I've changed many without removing the engine. They even make a core plug you put in the hole and use a wrench to tighten in place.
