    Convertible Problem !!

If your top stops and starts as it retracts or raises, more than likely the circuit breaker in the pump motor is kicking out. Have you checked your fluid level? I often find it necessary to open the motor and bend the arms to make the operation continuous. The system was designed so that the...

    Engine & Gearbox Instalation

Some say that's the way to do: as a complete assembly. What to leave off? Power steering pump, alternator, carburetor, coolant tank would be good..

    Hazard warning lights

An older post was telling how someone fixed the warning lights on a 1966 Thunderbird. Another poster with a 1965 was going to try his fix. I'm hoping that people understand the 1966 warning light set up is not the same as earlier models.

    motor mounts

Usual advise: use jack stands! I've changed a few ENGINE mounts with nothing but a floor jack. Raise the engine, unbolt mount, put in new one. No big deal..

Wouldn't you know it 1 I read that someone needed a 10 amp circuit breaker for a 1965 convertible and now I can't find the message. Who will help?

    Power seat

I would expect the seat from a 1966 to bolt directly into a 1964. I would expect the electrical power to be there, especially if the 1964 has power seat.

passenger power window ? lockout switch

The 1966 Thunderbirds with the "blind quarter" do not have a lock-out switch. This switch was only on cars that had quarter windows. With a non-working window, the switch should be checked first. ( no need to take the door apart unless you really necessary). If you need to get to the motor...

    Wheel Spacing

Are you trying to put the wheels on a 1963 Thunderbird? I've not used any Mustang wheels, but I have put wire wheels on a 1966 Thunderbird and they needed spacers. I had no problem. Just added the spacers and put the wheels in place. If you need longer studs, you have another problem.
