Wheel Spacing

Are you trying to put the wheels on a 1963 Thunderbird? I've not used any Mustang wheels, but I have put wire wheels on a 1966 Thunderbird and they needed spacers. I had no problem. Just added the spacers and put the wheels in place. If you need longer studs, you have another problem.

Yes, they were for the '63. The were given to me and I thought they would look ok on the Tbird but a trial fit on the front has them dragging on the upper ball joint. 17" wheels probably wouldn't but I'm not buying new wheels right now. I was just hoping they would fit with possibly spacers. I had hoped someone could tell me they had done similar wheels and what spacers they used along with any problems or issues. I don't need much, maybe 3/8 to 1/2 inch to offset the wheel outward and get it away from the upper ball joint.
