Dazed and Confused
I recently had my carb rebuilt on my 65 convertible. It has the original 4150 Autolite carb. It ran great for a while and then started to flood and not restart when I stopped at a light.
When I look inside the carb, it apprears that the gas is just running down into the bowls (secondary for sure, and sometimes primary) and not just spraying out the jets like it is supposed to.
Sometimes after it sets for days it will restart and run great for awhile and then suddenly it starts flooding again.
I am about done experimenting and considering just sending the entire carb to Poney for a complete professional rebuild, but I hate to have it down for that long and want to retain the original carb.
Any suggestions before I take the plunge?
Thanks in advance,
Jerry
