Just purchased a 61 Bird. I need to find out just what all I got.

The VIN # is 1Y71Z172055

I understand there are parts for "early 61's and "late" 61's.

Can someone send me to a place that tells me what each model number stands for ?

Y = Where it was built -- Wixom, MI
71 = Tudor Hardtop
Z = 8cyl, 390 cid 4 barrel carb.

For the rest (color, trim, trans, etc) you'll need to look at the additional codes found on the data plate.
