Just Recharged My Air Conditioning
When I Turn On Air, My Center And Side Vents Do Not Work> Blows Through Defrost Vents
My Headlight Doors Work Occasionally> My Mechanism For The Headlights Are Fine
My Check Valve Is Not Working But There Is A Functional Inline Check Valve
Any Thoughts> Pretty Sure There Are No Obvious Vacuum Line Links

Did you check your shop manual? What year is your car? I have a headlight cover valve for a 1967 if anyone needs one..

the car is a 1968
low mileage original
shop and vacuum manual checked
the center vents function after the car warms up a bit just for a few minutes and then stops
then the air blows through the defrost
cannot get headlights to work, though i know my valves in the headlights are good
somebody put a check valve in line with the original which (does not seem to be functional)> that is why they put in this check valve

Without looking at the girl I'd say you are going to have to play fast and loose, get to know your Glamor-gal intimately. Give yourself plenty of time and "follow the flow" with the manual handy to back you up. First, make sure that "in-line" check valve is in the correct way. Second, make sure your source vacuum is suffient to operate everything on the circuit. Third, make sure the HVAC switch is directing the vacuum correctly to the servos.:banghead The rest is up to you. Remember the rule; "If you can hear vacuum in a line, you have a leak." This may be a few months late, but I restored a '62 Lincoln w/ miles of vacuum lines .. don't know the correct terminology for the connectors of the various vacuum lines, ( little plastic ribbed connectors ) that connect one vacuum line to another .... take it out of the two lines and turn it around and reconx ... it directs the vacuum where it shud go and vio-la , u now have the heat or forced air working correctly and not coming out of ur defrost channels ... hope this helps ... oh, also make sure the vacuum lines are securely fastened to the resevoirs or holding tanks ... gemman
