yeah Harley! Thanks for your reply in my other thread. I'm glad I found this one, it was local and I really did have my heart set on a 3rd gen over a 4th. WHy do you say WOw a 61? Is there something unique about these?
I was happy it was local so I didn't have to fly or buy it site unseen. She's really quite clean and not cobbled together. I'd say a high 3, low 2 car, just what i was looking for. I'm bringing a trailer back to the P.o's house next week to grab her but the deal is done and funds have been exchanged. Can't wait to get her in warmer weather and also looking forward to learning more about these cool cars from all of you enthusiasts!

Thanks Ian! The PO is a TBiRD enthusiast. He has a sweet 57, has had a 66, and two 61's. It was nice to find it from an owner and someone who knows these cars. He has a line on a M code car and was a motivated seller. I'm going to pick it up next Saturday. It's like torture. I wish it was in my garage right now, can't stop thinking about her.

Thanks Harley. I just wasn't sure if you were eluding to something else.
It's a pretty clean car and seems mostly sorted out. There are a couple things I want / have to do. For one, I want to take out the front seat and add some rail extensions to push the seat back two or three inches. I'm 6'5" and my elbows are almost on the back of the seat because the wheel is so close! ha!
Also, I need to hook up the windshield wiper pump. It's all there, just no tubes and I need to find the wires. Speaking of wires, that's one of the first thing I went to look at was the wiring in the engine bay and under the dash. I've been to the mountain of rewiring a car due to shotty electrical cobbling, man that's a pain. Actually in the process of rewiring a boat for the the very same reason. Also need to do a slight adjustment to the trunk when the roof is in there, sometimes the ball screws don't like to grab all the way on the drivers side. Very minor stuff. The turn signal indicator doesn't want to stay in it's detent when taking a right hand turn but that's not a big deal. It seems like that is a typical problem with these birds. Lastly, I'd like to get a set of the wire wheels coker is making as repops now too.
