had to use big words in the title... wow anyhow im wondering if the suspension on my 65 is the same as any other ford model vehicles, id like to add more performance==better handling suspension components under the car but nobody makes em. so how bout parts from a fairlane or galaxie (i think its different for galaxie) mustang has the same lookin set-up but not sturdy enough. any idears??

thanks for the help!! :cheers

The venders sell a heavy duty sway bar replacement they say makes a big difference. I put new leaf springs on my 66 that also made a noticable difference.

Well-known Thunderbird restorer Lance Herrington perfected the first "anti-sway" bars for classic Tbirds and started selling and installing them in the mid-eighties. They've become very popular because they reduce the "floating sofa" effect of the factory suspension.

Visit his website at www.thunderbirdsouthwest.com then pickup the phone and call him to discuss your situation. He's a suspension expert and can provide you with several options (gas shocks, air-ride suspension with auto-levelling, etc.). Good luck.

hey thanks ya'all im goin to check out that site now... i really wana get the thing to handle with a balanced suspension feel...if thats at all possible with these beasts..
