soft top supplier?

Granzbird's softtop has only a frame, with no canvas (vinyl), so I need to order a new one, then have it installed.
Seems there are lots of suppliers with a wide range in prices. This bird is a driver, in maintained as original condition, but not a show car or concours car.
Any suggestions on where to get a black soft top? Does it need to be correct zipper-wise, or would you suggest something more functional but not original for the window zippers?

Unrelated, are there other early bird forums? And shouldn't CTCI have an online forum?

First, consider one with a zippered rear window. On those hot summer days when you want the top up because its just too hot out, it sure is nice with the breeze that is created with the windows down, and that back window open.

An older 2004 National Parts Depot catalogue shows vinyl tops with rear zippered window from $180 to $213, and Stayfast Canvas ones from $400 to $450.

There are two other sites that I know of for forums. One is Yahoo (classicbirds) and the other is the Vintage Thunderbird Club Int'l ( vintagethunderbirdclub.net )

Both are fairly active.

CTCI does not have any forums.
