My '66 htop is riding low at the back end. I have had both springs and all the mounting bushes and pads replaced but it hasn't made much difference to the ride height. When the htop is parked next to my '66 convt there is a height difference of about 1.5 inches. It has been suggested to me to have the original shocks replaced with air shocks to remedy the height problem. Has anyone tried this and if it is a successful option where could I find air shocks? I need to get this sorted because it looks as if the car has been lowered. Many thanks in advance.

Did you use the correct springs? I put new springs in my 66 conv. and it's fine. They have two different sets, Springs for hardtops and Springs for conv.

thats true about the air shocks - I bought a 64 convertible that was so low that I thought the shock and springs were shot. so I cleaned the car up really good and then took it to a suspension shop. They found the inflation stem and pumped up the ride hight to spec - it was fantastic!

Yea, we put air shocks in a 65 we had, the car had new springs installed before we ever got it and the springs were actually missing a leaf. The air shocks cured the ride height with very little effort.
