Hi, since the end of last year I`m the proud owner of a 1966 T-Bird town landau! I fell in love with this model when I was a kid back in the early sixties - my family had just moved fron Germany to Montreal, Canada. I first saw the car in the James Bond Goldfinger movie.
Many years later I tried to find a good car in the USA via the internet, but somehow I did`nt find the right one. Last year I read an add, offering exactly the car I was looking for and just 45 miles from my place! The seller had been working in NC for two years and brought two cars (Mustang, T-Bird) to Germany, hoping to make a good deal with them. Well, the T-Bird is mine by now! The car is in pretty good condition, has passed the german technical check and is registered here.
The problem I have, is that I don`t know where to get parts for the car at a reasonable price. I ordered the one or other part at "Thunderbird-headquarters", but they charged me something like 200 dollars for the shipping. Can somebody help me with internet-adresses in the USA of (aftermarket) firms that sell spare parts like spark plugs, hoses, gaskets etc ?
What I also need is a pair of rechromed bumpers and a set of black leather seatcovers.
Thanks a lot for your help!

I dont know who will ship overseas without charging you a ton. I have done it for some guys I have met thru playing with these cars and its not awful, just takes somemore paperwork. I have sent to Denmark, Sweden, Australia, and a few other places. If it was a part they bought from me it was easy otherwise if they bought a part in the US they just had it shipped to me and then I found out cost to ship it to them. Now large items might be a bit difficult but other stuff I did thru the USPS.

Shipping costs

Hi, I bought two door panels. I sold the old set later at eBay USA and sent it to the states: 35 Euros; about 50 USD.
