Allow myself to introduce.....myself.... Let me begin by saying that I am one of the younger guys (18 not too long ago) and am taking Electrical Trades classes at the local Community College. With that out of the way, on to the good stuff. A friend of mine has a 86 t-bird sitting in his yard, and for I fell in love with . His father said that it ran when they parked it, but this was atleast 5 years ago. There appears to be little rust and the body appears to be in pretty good shape. Unfortunatly the sunroof leaked and the carpet and front seats (backseats were taken out) are mildewed, and smell quite terrible. Anyway, he said I could have the car for $200. Needs new tires first of all, battery, steering wheel is kinda warped, hoses, belts, and whatever might be mechanincally wrong with it. I would have loved to get this car up and running a year ago when I first got introduced to it, but cause of lack of funds it wasn't possible. A year later however, I got to thinking about it again. I have a better job that pays almost double what I made a year ago and feel the need to save this bird. Unfortunatly I have pretty much zero knowledge about the mechanics of cars, much less thunderbirds. Hope to get some pictures of it soon, but I just got to catch the guy when he is home.
