Hello out there...
My wife and I are debating on what color to paint our 55. The original color is the yellow and yellow/black interior. But, I am not too hot on that color. Right now the car is a deep red (not the torch red). What we are wondering is.....Is the bumblebee color as rare as everyone is telling me?

Color code V, Goldenrod Yellow with trim code XD, Black & Yellow interior was a special Spring season introduction. This combination has historically been considered rare and desireable among early Thunderbird fanciers.

To maximize the value of the car, it should be returned to its original color combination. Bottom Line: It's your car and it's your choice.

I agree with nomadbird, it's your choice. Consider how long you plan to keep the 'bird. If "forever" then the color you paint it may not matter but if you only plan on keeping it for a few years then you may want to consider going back to the original color. If you plan to show it then by all means go to the original color. It's a bright color combo. Some love it and some don't.
