Hi my name is Craig and I live in Derbyshire in the UK. I have a 77 Tbird with a 400 inch engine which i have owned for just over 20 or so years but it has been garaged for the last 19. During the last year I have been renovating it to put it back on the road. Due to our climate there was some welding to be done which is all completed and the mechanical work is not far off.
The interior had mouse damage and I have repaired the seats and made new carpets. I have also made a new headlining as the old one was split and rotten and eaten. This is where the help bit of this post comes in. When I fitted the headlining I was so pleased that I managed to get all the holes for the trims, dome light and rear view mirror in the right places. Unfortunately I have just spotted the mistake that I thought I had avoided!!!!
I have just realised that I have no idea where the top mount should go for the seat belts. I don't really want to start poking anything through the headlining in a quest to find them so could someone take some measurements for me to give me a clue.
I found this site while looking for information for my car. I have just spent the last year getting closely acquainted all the systems on my Tbird so I may be able to provide info for others.
