I just discovered that my 1963 Thunderbird speedometer will not register above 110 miles per hour. Sure, there is a 120 mph mark, but the needle will not go that far. How did I find out? Would you believe that I jacked up the rear wheels and held it to the floor? And the needle just bounced at 110? No, that was not the case.. I was repairing a speedometer and discovered a stop for the needle. it will register less than zero , but not more than 120..
