I am an avid Hot Wheels fan and collector. HW has made many T-bird castings over the years, starting with their first year - 1968. They made a contemporary '67-'68 Coupe. Some of the color variations are quite valuable -- in the $500 range. In '69 they followed up with a '57 T-bird convertible featuring a chopped windshield, driver side tonneau/nacel and forward opening hood. In '78, they retooled this casting and made it into a '57 coupe with sealed hood. I remember buying one from this period, and still have it. Since '78, they have reused that same casting dozens of times with different paint schemes and even textures. 80's and 90's T-bird stock cars have been issued, and some time in the last 5-10 years HW has issued '62 T-birds w various color schemes.
