glove box door lock

I had to replace the glove box door on our Bird and would like to put the lock from our old glove box door on the new door, but I cannot figure out how to remove the lock mechanism from the old door. I removed the 2 small bolts from the back of the lock, but I cannot figure out how to get the plastic knob piece off of the front. Anybody know how to remove the plastic knob from the front of the glove box door?

Glove box lock

I am currently out of state for a few weeks and cannot access my Bird to see what holds the lock in place. Hopefully, someone else will be able to answer the question. Best wishes to you.

if you look up behind the knob you will see the retaining clip that holds the knob in place. with a small flat blade screw driver gently pry the clip toward the knob and pull knob off. hope this helps
