Can anyone tell me how the chrome moulding is attached to the the front fenders? One of them is loose and has about a half inch play left to right. Thanks

The top trim has spring clips that pop into holes in the fenders. The trim is removable; just be careful.

OH, no.. If you are referring to the "peak moulding", it is not chrome - it's stainless steel. The clips do not pop into holes in the fender. The clips have barbs that grasp the pinch weld along the top of the fender. There is a clip at the very front that has a threaded shaft that goes thru the fender and has a nut on the inside. Moulding also has a screw at the rear end by the door. If you are not referring to the "peak moulding", you've lost me.
There were originally anti rattle items that were positioned between clips.

Harley- I'm also in need of info on how to correctly remove the "peak molding" from the driver's door on my '61. I know there are clips on each end with studs held by nuts, but what's the correct way to remove the clips with the "barbs"?
Thanks!
