This is actually a continuation of the thread of the saga of the power steering pump I posted earlier.
I finally found a rebuilt ps pump and got it installed. Then, when bleeding the system by turning left and right, I heard a "pop" and then I had NO power steering at all. It came back intermittently and then stopped completely. I have wipers so there is pressure in the system and the fluid level is fine.
My question is: Could I have damaged the valves in the steering gear box? If so, is there a way to check? This could be much more expensive than a rebuilt ps pump, huh?
Thanks,
Ken
