I just got a 66 landau. Problem 1: Previous owner had rigged an under hood switch to activate the starter, because apparently the stock starter switch was not working. There is a bullet connector near the starter relay into which he put a screw, and he wrapped one end of a wire of a toggle switch to that, and the other toggle switch wire to the battery post of the starter relay/solenoid. Turn the key to on, hit the toggle switch, and the car starts right up. Great, but I would like to return it to stock. The bullet connector with the screw in it has two wires going into it. One wire starts the car, and the other is apparently to the neutral safety switch. Since there is no pigtail on the bullet connector with the screw, I don't know where it goes on the starter relay, or if it goes there at all. The starter relay has the S wire corrrect, the I wire correct, and the cable to the battery and starter correctly on their sides of the of the relay. There are several ither wires that go to the relay which are currenly on the battery post of it. One of them is the low fuel light system, which I can identify easily, and which will properly go on the starter side of the relay. I'll check the wire colors tonite, but I already know some of them don't match with the manuals. Please help!
