I replaced the windshield in my '57 T-Bird which was pretty straightforward. However, I am having a tough time getting the stainless trim to fit like it did before I took it apart. I installed the trim into the rubber. Installed the rubber around the glass and used a rope and my wife to put it back in. However, the trim at the center sticks out, as well as, the trim at the driver's side door. Not a lot. Just enough to be annoying. What am I doing wrong?

SaintM,

The trim is added after the rubber and glass have been installed. Typically it can be pushed back into the seal by hand pressure and careful prodding with a rubber mallet. You might try lubing the rubber seam, where the trim inserts, with a mild soapy water solution to defeat the friction you're up against.

Good Luck!
