Hi Everyone
Just purchased 1966 town coupe and it is 95% restored with the original 80k miles I need to know how do I get the radio out along with the dash speaker
it is dead and i am installing a custom sound system look alike .It looks like i have to remove part of the console and chrome but see no screws does it just pry off . Any Help will be greatly appreciated
Thank You John

When I installed the new audio system in my 66, taking the consol apart was not all that difficult.
Mine had screws holding the metal sides of the consol, as well as the chrome trim.
I can't imagine your's would be any different.
Now, you mentioned custom sound system.
If that involves a company, or product named custom auto sound, don't waste your money.
Terrible product from all the reviews I have read.
Bob.

Thank you redbird1 for the info . Ther car already has a custom sound system and I need to get to the back l of it . I will agree with you on the quality of this radio but i am using it for a sattilite radio system take i will use all the time . The radio is a mmute point at this time I am hoping the new system will over shadow the poor radio if not I will take it out and send it to the depths of the ocean LOL . Again Thank you for your responce
John
