T have a short-out in the left bullet of my tail light. It is not the bulb, but i know it is an electrical problem within the wiring of the light. But, there is no way to get to the actual wiring without breaking the weld of the light or removing the bumper. The light works and is very dim. but when i step on the brake the light goes out Please help!! Im stuck, i dont know what to do. any help is appreciated!

Check the wires attached to the brake light sending unit. Its the little screw in piece attached to the front of the master cylinder. Its possible you have a short in those wires.

That's what happened to me at least.

Here's another theory: You don't have a good ground on that light. Quick check; use a jumper wire to provide a GOOD ground.Charactoristically, if one filiment goes out when you try to light both - bad ground!
