I have been told that you can't put a 1956 body on a 1955 frame, however I am convinced that my T-Bird is exactly that. The frame, title and data plate all match with the number P5FH149575. The body has several characteristics of a 1956. Vents on the two front fenders, holes in the back for the tailpipes do not have the 1955 protrusions, the door pillars have the accommodation for the wing windows, the rear has the holes behind the license plate for what appears to be the continental kit mounting and there may be others characteristics I haven't noticed. I would be interested in your comments and thoughts. Thanks.

Nothing is impossible if you have the time, expertise and/or money to make the necessary changes. I have seen a number of 56's without the outside spare so that is not unusual. Not really sure, but I think most of the frame difference between 55 and 56 is in the rear for the continental spare

The pillars for the windwings (56) are compatible with a 55. A friend of mine has a 56 with the 55 pillars.

Need help with forum. Whenever I try to post a new thread I get a message that says "do not have permission to access page." There doesn't seem to be a way to contact anyone to fix this. I have paid the $20 membership fee and have posted before???
