Seems odd for a 66. I removed my mast for the exact same reason, a cover, and all I had to do was unscrew it from the base. I couldn't just retract it because my electrical is screwed but I had no trouble removing it at all :-) sounds like you might have an aftermarket already

Just wanted to say thanks for the wiper control module. It arrived just the other day and it's exactly what I need. Unfortunately it's minus 40 here so the install will have to wait a bit but it will sure be nice to actually be able to see where I'm going once it's done :) Thanks again!

Anyone know where I can find door panels for my 66'? The originals are a creamy beige & am looking to go white. The backboards on the original panels are too far gone to restore and dye, as is the dash but Ihave a workaround for that. Just need the pangels in white preferably.

That's exactly it. I have the vent switches in but nothing where the wipers should be. Didn't notice a cable when I opened up the clock pod but, that said, I also found what appears to be a wiring harness laying loose in the trunk. Give me a price for that switch and I'll send you my mailing...

Thanks, Bob. That much I had figured out. Actually, it appears that the controls for the wipers are missing completely, which would explain a lot. I just got the car home yesterday so I'm discovering stuff as I go. :-)
