Thank you Paul for that info. Is there any way to figure if this one could be an early DF?

I recently read Avery confusing sales ad for a 1957 bird on autotrader. The ad claimed that it was an original supercharged 312 engine but the serial # is D7FH128562. According to all the info I can obtain, a D code is a 312 with a single 4 barrel carb. Can anyone comment on this discrepancy? Thanks
