Do yo have DECENT inner fender wheel wells for front of 64 convert?

Some of the sheet metal may be a bit hard to find thats in good shape. But the important stuff like floor boards and truck pans and mech stuff is readily avail. Do not let the fear of not finding parts get you. That won't be the case. You may not be able to walk right into a auto parts...

I don't know how much it would be worth. I would say it is rare though.

Ya this area is DEAD. I don't know why it is nt more active. I belong to a mailing list for these, is active. I told them about this place and they didnt want to come. They rather use a old slow mailing list system then come here.

I would stick with Orig. If it is redone to spec it will be as good as the 5.0 I think. You never know, you may have to part with it someday for some unforseen reason now and not get close to what you could have w/the orig set up. IF you go 5.0 I would hold on to all the orig stuff taken out!

I though of doing this. Jusut cutting it (making it look right also) and having a tunnel (spelling?) cover custom made for it. I think this can be done if you spend the money to have the cut off part look right.

I would agree, keeping it orig paint, or repainting to orig is your best bet if you want to keep the value. If that does not matter then go RED, I would. This is a decision I will have to make down the road at some point.

No one here can give a ball park reply on this, something built to stock specs. I assume the 390is the same through all the years?
