my vanity plate 57 Tbird
AUNTEM is the plate.
This car belonged to my Aunt Emily since 1964. When I was a teen, she used to let me drive it. It sat in her garage for 35 years intil she passed away 2 yrs ago. I bought it from the estate and spent $$ to get it running again - engine tear-down to the crank, new everything moving, except pistons crank and cam and gears. electronic ignition, new gas tank and lines, master cylinder and brake cylinders, etc etc. I couldn't think of a better plate on it. The whole family agrees, too. |

Love your story. Mine is similar, Aunt Mary bought it in 62, I inherited it 20 years ago, now getting it running again. Having to do same things you are. Was the first car I ever drove, at age 9 in 1963. Mary was a progressive Aunt. Don't have a vanity plate yet, instead found one at a flea market that's from 1957 so used it. Your AuntEm is a fine tribute. Cheers.
