1964 Bird
Around 1990, I had a chance to replace my long parked rusty 64 with a "better" one. The car was inside a building which had only a man sized door. It had been parked inside by removing then replacing a wall!
Had to take the wall down to get it out. $1500 but it had a semi fresh quickie paint job. motor had been resealed, new brakes all around with lines cylinders and hoses. Parked because the brakes would quit working with the pedal hard as a rock! Did that sound familiar? Sure enough, bad power booster......... Still have this one though it is now for sale, needs repaint, dash pad, and some interior work, and an exhaust manifold gasket. Bought a 66 to replace it............. swi66 |
