Red face I'm looking for one as my first car....

yeah......I'm looking for my first car. I live in MA so theres snow and ice, and i have decided against a camaro or firebird, i'm thinking about a mustang, but more realistly (i still havnt applyd for a job, lol) am looking for a car that will cost under or around 4000 bucks. There are a few things i want from the car. I want it to be sporty. Doesnt need to be a real sports car, but lets face it.. a Geo Metro isnt really 'cool' lol. I am kinda leaning towards the T-bird but a Subaru Impreza is still a possibility. What i want to know is, What year, model, etc. t-bird should i look for for that price, i want it to be v8, its gotta have a manual transmission, and i'd like leather but thats not completly necisary. Please lemme know ASAP, going car hunting soon :)

You won't find a V8 Bird with a manual transmission-only the Super Coupe had the 5-speed.

Stick with buying a 1991-1993 Bird with the 5.0L HO-you can do more to the engine ecause of all the parts available-and you CAN mate a 5 or 6-speed transmission to the 5,0, whereas the 4.6L EEC controls the transmission-you'd ve to swap in a new puter in order to use a manual transmission.
