Post Need some advice

I just repoed my old Bird, the guy I sold it too completely ruined it. Everything needs work. I decided to "sup" it up and restore it. If anybody has any suggestions on upgrades for exhaust, fuel system, ignition system, brakes, shift kits, suspension, intake let me know please. I plan to spend some money, but it is a factor. One other thing, I want to redo the interior but i'm having trouble finding new, original ford parts ie: door liners, moldings ect. Any sources would be appreciated.

I would highly recommend Dual Flowmaster Delta series mufflers. I have them and they are great. I put a K & N cold air intake on mine and saw a difference. Brakes, I have Hawk HP Plus pads. Excellent stopping power and virtually NO brake dust.I put on 8mm Bosch plug wires and the Bosch quad 4 plugs. As far as the suspension, I put Eibach Pro Racing Springs on. It lowered my car about 1.5-2.0 inches and handles like a dream. I have not been able to find original factory interior parts either. If I find them , I will let you know. You can get the brake pads and springs from www.neoncars.com. They are really cool there(I happen to work there.) We have alot of parts for other cars too and great prices.

Click HERE to visit Steven Crist used parts. You might be able to find some things you need there. Good luck!

I would suggest http://www.car-parts.com it searches junkyards and I've found some good stuff rather cheap there.

For mods, check out Tccoa.com articles.

For factory parts, contact Dan Newman, he's very familiar with MN12 Birds; http://www.fivestarford.com/newsite/parts/
also; http://www.forddiscountparts.com/
and http://www.oemfordparts.com/

Actually I have been very busy working on the car. I am still learning so most of my mods are pretty basic, but here's how it's coming. I installed new MSD coil packs, with a MSD DIS 4 box, and the two tach adapters. I pulled the exhaust, and replaced it with Kenny's Brown's flowmaster kit- (I regret this, his kit is not a true dual kit, it is basically like the factory exhaust) I installed a B & M shift improver kit, and changed the fluid in the tranny. New Plugs (NGK platinum) and MSD wires. I've got the car up jack stands still, I am hoping to get the struts and springs in the mail tommorow, Eibach lowering springs, and tokico struts and shocks. Put on all new bushings on the front and rear suspension from energy suspensions. New rotors and pads, and I am in the process of taking off the rear drum brakes and putting on disk brakes. I ripped up the carpet and replaced it with a carpet kit i got somewhere, and I repainted all the vinyl molding. I have ordered some 17" Cobra R rims, and don't know what tires I'm going to get. I'm thinking about a body kit, I have ordered a cowl hood from motion performance- not here yet. I found a wrecked 94 Mark VIII with a black interior, the junkman gave me the seats- in perfect condition. I bought the larger MAF sensor off that lincoln, but I haven't put it on yet. I've been on semster break this past couple of weeks so I've had plenty of time to work on it but i have some questions- I'll post them.
